Tired of not getting enough hot water when you have low water pressure in your house?

A tankless system only heats up water when your tap is on. Old hot water tank system stores the water and uses gas throughout the day to heat the water to maintain the temperature, which is not the most energy efficient solution. Some tankless system will heat 3.6 gallons per minute of hot water instantly, and the temperature is adjustable. According to statistics, it can also save you 30% off your gas bill as well as no hot water tank rental fee if you currently do not own your hot water tank.

-Instant hot water at your finger tips

-lower energy and operating cost

-life expectancy of 20 yrs or more and can be extended with replacement of parts, longer than conventional water heaters which last about 10-15yrs

-no storage of water eliminate risk of bacteria growth

-can be powered by electric or gas (most people choose gas as the cost is 1/3 of that of electricity)

-space saver

Installation and Installers:

Steps in selecting a contractor

  • Request cost estimates in writing

  • Ask for references

  • Check the company with your local Better Business Bureau

  • See if the company will obtain a local permit if necessary and understands local building codes, etc.

  • It cost about $3000 for the unit and installation. It is mounted in the basement exterior wall and vents directly outside. You have to pick a spot that is three feet from an opening window and not directly under a window.

One tankless hot water heater can take care of a home up to 4000 square feet. It's recommended that you hire a licensed heating and air conditioning contractor to install one for you. If you try and install it yourself, you could void the manufacturer warranty. Worse, your home insurance may not provide any coverage if you install the device.
