Finally, TIFF organizers have announced that its new headquarters will open its door to the public this September at the Festival Tower, in time for the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. The facility will house 5 public cinemas, 2 galleries, offices and restaurants, learning and academic facilities, and a soaring atrium to host public gala events. Although not all 5 cinemas may be operational by September 12th, some programming will be planned at the new venue.

Atop the limestone-clad Bell Lightbox, the Festival Tower rises 41 storeys with 458 units complemented by 5-star clubhouse amenities: lobby, tower cinema and lounge, library, business centre, meditation centre, yoga/pilates studio, and pool house. Festival Tower residence will have special privilages to private screenings. Remaining suites are selling at $700,000 and up.
